REMINDER-Our Green School Committee have entered us into the WEEE Battery Recycling Competition.
Recycling batteries can contribute to our school's sustainable development goals to prevent climate change and help contribute to the circular economy by giving batteries a new life.
You will also be supporting LauraLynn, Ireland's Children's Hospice, with every battery you recycle going towards a donation fund to support their vital work.
Our challenge is to collect as many batteries as we can and recycle ♻️ them with WEEE Ireland. Our school will also be in with a chance to win a €2000 sports equipment voucher for our school.
The eldest pupil of each family received a blue battery box to take home. These small boxes can be emptied into the larger blue battery box in school for collection when full.
Please send any used batteries you have in to us by Thursday April 10th!
