49 children from classes 3rd to 6th took part in The Leitrim Cross-Country Primary School Competition in Ballinamore today Wednesday September 25th. 3rd and 4th class children ran 800 metres each while 5th and 6th class children ran 1000 metres. All the chilren ran well and should be very proud of themselves. We had 4 medal winners on the day -Siabhra McGuinness in 3rd class, Amy Gill in 4th class, Holly Charman in 6th class and Lauren O'Mahoney in 6th class. All 4 have now qualified for the Connacht Finals on Saturday October 5th. There were huge numbers in each race and everyone enjoyed the event. Congratulations to all the children and best of luck to the girls representing the school on Saturday week. Thank you to all the organisers. Keep up the running everyone!!
